Iceland uses an electronic toll system for the Vaðlaheiðargong Tunnel. The toll is collected electronically and can be paid online or at designated payment points.

No Exemptions
There are no exemptions for the Vaðlaheiðargong Tunnel toll. All vehicles must pay the toll.
The fine for using the tunnel without paying the toll includes the original toll amount plus a 1100 ISK administrative fee.
Post-Payment Required
Payment is required for using the Vaðlaheiðargong Tunnel. The toll can be paid online or at designated payment points after passing through the tunnel.
